20th Birthday
Sat 12 Nov 2011 01:02:17 PM GMTThe 3rd Market Harborough 'Kingfisher' Beaver Scout Colony celebrated their 20th birthday with a party on Saturday (12/11/11). Mr Custard entertained everyone and lots of cake was eaten. Guests included Beavers and leaders past and present. Squirrel, who started the Colony along with Sallyann Provins and Jane Woolley, was presents with gifts from parents and leaders past and present. The Beaver Scouts were presented with a celebration badge and a tree sapling courtesy of Sainsburys and The Woodland Trust.
East Carlton Park
Tue 15 Nov 2011 06:38:35 PM GMTThe 3rd Market Harborough ‘Kingfisher’ and ‘Mallard’ Beaver Scouts had a great morning at East Carlton Park. They did a Scavenger Hunt and built dens. This activity was organised to help the Beavers earn their Explore Badge.
Sleep Over 2011
Sun 20 Nov 2011 11:01:03 AM GMTThe 3rd Market Harborough 'Kingfisher' Beaver Scout enjoyed a sleepover at Topstones, they made barometers, thermometers, wind vanes, twistle sticks, indoor kites, bracelets showing the water-cycle, rain gauges and anenometers. They told jokes, listened to a story about the weather and had a really good singing session. They played on the go-karts and the Centenary Trail (assault course) and collected fire wood.
Police Helicopter Visit
The 3rd Market Harborough Kingfisher Beaver Scouts visit the Police Helicopter Base near Welford, unfortunately the helicopter was called out just as we arrived but return 40 minutes later. We had a quick tour of the helicopter and are rearranging the visit for another time and just hope the villains are behaving that day
Christmas Party 2011
3rd MH Beavers enjoy a Christmas party by playing beach volley ball, only wish it was warm enough to go to the beach, Party was rounded off by a visit from Santa Claus.
