New Year’s Sleepover

10 Scouts from the Friday Troop arrived at Topstones at 2pm on New Years Eve. Some played table tennis while others had their nails painted and Hayley provided manicures to those who wanted them. Some of the Scouts discovered a trunk full of dressing up clothes.

Lee set up a PS3, Wii and PS2 which were projected onto large screens and the Scouts competed against each other.

Megan made a Chinese Lantern to light at midnight. Unfortunately, it caught fire and didn’t make it more than a couple of feet into the air.

After watching a film, the Scouts finally went to bed at 1.45am on New Years Day.

The following morning, the Scouts helped clear up, then as the sky was clear and the sun was shining, they got the Go-Karts out and blew away some cobwebs on the playground.

It was a great way to start the New Year.

The Leaders would like to thank LeFat and the District Team for lending them the projectors and Squirrel for lending them the popcorn machine which went down a treat with the film! Thanks also to Andy Batkin for helping out for the first couple of hours.

The Scouts compete to see who is the best on thePS2.
