An awards reception was held by Leicestershire Scouts at Rawlins Community College, Quorn. With over two hundred and fifty people in attendance the evening consisted of some Scouters receiving there national awards presented by our County Commissioner Byron Chatburn (who just arrived back form America in time) after flight restrictions were lifted. Then the presentation of the District Awards took place followed by an enjoyable buffet while being entertained by the Thurmaston Scout Band and solos by individual members of the Band.

The evening finished with Very Positive Closing Comments about Leicestershire Scouting from the Regional Commissioner for the East Midlands Dean Smith. Followed by the “National Anthem “played by the Scout Band.
Awards received by: - Sam Gibbs, Sally Howard, Tracy Coats, Pip Evens, Mark Turner, Russell Sladden, Rosemary Parr, Dave Henson with the other two nominees unable to attend!
Penny Rhodes and Rob Dorey who will receive their awards at a later date.
