Parents tell us their children benefit hugely from the adventures, fun and friendships they experience. It can help develop your child’s social skills and independence, and give them access to some amazing and memorable opportunities.

Send us an enquiry about joining using the form below. If you add in your preferred Group your enquiry will be sent there first but if they cannot offer an immediate start we will pass your enquiry to the next nearest Group with places available.

You can find out about section meeting times and days for our local Groups and Explorer Units using the menu on the right.

We encourage all parents to get involved when their child joins to help inspire our young people and add to the adventure. You can indicate on the form below how you would like to get involved. Places for young people are limited by the number of adults who volunteer, so priority is given to children where there are adult volunteers to help weekly with young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
